Monday, January 12: LiveScan service is still disrupted due to the billing issue with the California Department of Justice. We paid our outstanding bills last week through a different process (cancelling our payments through Payment Plus, the new campus process that failed us). The DOJ required to re-submit our billing form, and they are now working through their process to get our billing number reinstated. They have told us it could be as long as two weeks from the time we submitted the form (on the 9th) though we’ve asked them to expedite the process!.

UCSC’s LiveScan Services fulfills the University’s need for on-campus, pre-employment criminal history background checks through the State of California’s Department of Justice (CADOJ).
Located at Baskin Engineering in room B25, we are an on-campus service available to candidates who are selected to fill critical positions (including volunteers, academics, and special cases), and for employees who have had changes to their positions via a classification review, assignment of new duties (equity or stipend), updated job description, or who have been hired or transferred into another position on campus.
In all cases, oral or written offers for the new position (or new duties) are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal history background check.
